These honey collectors or mauli collect this honey every year by March-April with the permission of the forest department into the deep forest of Sundarbans. A group of maulis of Hingalganj block associated with the Badaban Farmers Producer Company collects honey from the forests of the Sundarbans. BFPCL have its own honey processing unit inSamserganj of Hingalganj block of North 24 parganas district. After processing the honey is being bottled by the community members and sold through the Badabon harvest value chain.
